The inpatient pediatric service provides medical care for patients admitted to the Pediatric Ward and Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU) at Santa Clara Valley Medical Center. In order to meet the health care needs of these children and adolescents, care that is specific to the pediatric population is needed. This rotation provides an environment for residents to develop competency in providing this care.
